This plant has orange-red cup shaped flowers which are produced in abundance . The flowers appear all the way up the stems which are about 60 – 90 cm long. Sometimes the flowers can be white , pink or mauve as well. The plant puts on a great display from spring right through to autumn. It has small grey leaves with white hairs on both sides . It will grow in dry well drained soils, and tolerates drought well. It will not thrive in wet winters, and so is best used in dry climates and desert conditions It will withstand cold to -23 deg C.
