Retail Website Terms of Business
Many of the seeds that we sell are imported from reputable suppliers. We believe all seeds are correctly named. As these are sometimes open pollinated, occasional variations may occur and we cannot be held responsible other than for replacement of seeds.
Seeds and plants and delivery
We sell seeds predominantly , but we also have a very small quantity of plants available for sale on an intermittent basis, to New Zealand customers only. These are catalogued under P – Plants -P in the category search. These plants are the end result of our tests for seed batch viability. The plants are usually in 10 cm pots. Freight for plants can be expensive especially for small quantities, the calculation is based on 1 carton of plants ( up to 15 plants in a carton) . The freight amount is calculated after your delivery address and province are entered on the checkout page. Seed delivery is charged at a standard rate for the whole of New Zealand.
Payment For Online Orders
Orders for seeds are accepted for New Zealand and Australia only. Orders for plants are accepted for New Zealand only. The currency will be shown for the country where you login. When you have submitted your order, we will advise the bank account where you can transfer the order amount. If you login to our website and order from Australia then you will need to pay into the Australian bank account number , and vice- versa for NZ. Once the deposit is cleared in the bank account we will send the seeds.
We only ship seeds to New Zealand and to Australia. We only ship plants to New Zealand. Freight for New Zealand customers for both plants and seeds will be added your order as soon as you have entered your delivery address and have chosen your province. There is a standard charge for airmail for orders for seeds to Australia. We only offer NON TRACKED airmail to Australia.
Seeds allowed into Australia
We do not have an export department and therefore cannot take responsibility for lost, stolen or confiscated packages shipped outside of the New Zealand postal system.
Australian customers are responsible for ensuring that the seeds which they order are permitted to enter Australia. Customers should check the Australian government Department of Agriculture website for information on this at :
We will also do our best to assist Australian customers by marking those seeds, on the main seed plant description page, which we believe are not permitted to be sent to Australia, but the final responsibility rests with the Australian customer to check Australian regulations before ordering our seeds.
Replacements and Refunds
In the unlikely event that our seeds fail to please you, we are happy to replace them with the same or similar seeds according to your requirements. Should you wish to return goods, please ensure your seeds are sent to us by recorded delivery with a detailed letter of explanation. You will then be given a full refund.
Our website stock levels are usually up to date, however, if we run out of stock after you have ordered , we can generally substitute items for you. We will contact you if this happens to see whether you would like to do this.
