‘Fire Shades ‘ is a pretty mix of cherry red, pink and yellow. The viola’s cheeky faces are perfect for a bright pot of colour on the balcony, and they do equally well in the garden. They can be picked for a small posy and the flowers are deliciously scented .
Sowing advice
Sow spring and autumn. Sow the seeds in moist seed compost in pots or trays. Sow 2mm deep and cover very lightly with soil. Ideal temp. 22°C. If seeds have not germinated in 2-4 weeks move to 4°C ( fridge) for 6-8 weeks then return to warmth at 10°C. Plant out when large enough.
