Description
This lovely lily from the Caucasus and Turkey has pale yellow to dark yellow bell or sometimes tubular shaped flowers which are fragrant, and flowers in mid summer. The flowers are spotted inside the bells, and the petals reflex somewhat at the tips. It makes an excellent, and unusual cut flower.
Sowing advice
Sow at anytime.Fold a kitchen paper towel into 3 in alternating directions to give a towel of 6.3 * 11.2 roughly. Open the last fold of the towel .Now moisten the whole towel with water, so it is only just damp. On one side of the last fold place the seeds, refold towel over seeds. Seal in a ziplock bag or similar. Keep in a dark place at 18 deg C for 4 months, Check weekly to provide air movement. If there are any bulblets which have sprouted leaves at any stage then pot them up . After 4 months warmth, move to 2 -4 deg C ( fridge) for 4 months. After this pot up the tiny bulbs covering with a 2cm layer of seed raising mix. First leaves should appear in about 3 weeks. They can be moved outside after the last frost
