Description
Hesperis ‘White’ is the white form of sweet rocket.
These plants are biennial, but will self seed. In the first year, a low mound of green leaves is formed, and then in the following spring Hesperis ‘White’ will produce lovely upright branching heads of bright white , fragrant phlox-like flowers. They make an excellent cut flower , and are attractive to butterflies and beneficial insects.
Sowing advice
Sow in spring and early summer. Sow in trays or pots and can also be sown direct when temperatures rise.
Sow onto the surface of moist seed raising mix . Don’t cover as they need light to germinate. Ideal temp 20-25 deg C.
Germination takes 3-4 weeks. Transplant when large enough
