These seeds, bred by Dr Keith Hammett, are a cross between dahlia variabilis and Dahlia sherffii which is a dahlia that has not been used in crosses before. The flowers have muted colours and are described as having a semi-translucent quality, much like stained glass. The plant has very finely divided leaves. They are small compact plants and don’t need support in the garden. These seeds are something novel, and we just have a few of them

Sow onto moist seed raising mix and cover them finely with mix and keep moist but not waterlogged. Ideal temp is 21 deg C.Germination should occur in approx 7-12 days. Pot them up into larger containers when they have 2 true leaves.Bottom of Form
