Dahlia variabilis ‘Giant Hybrids Mix’ seeds

Description

This is a selection of large flowered dahlias with 7-12 cm flowers. There are single semi double and double varieties in shades of salmon, coral, pink  white, light yellow, red, and lavender. The seeds are easily grown The plants bloom in mid summer to the first frost giving a great display over the time that there isn’t much else flowering in the garden. Dahlias prefer warm days approx 21 deg C and cool nights ( approx 15 to 21 deg C). They make a wonderful cut flower.

Sowing advice for Dahlia

Sow in spring and summer in pots or trays Sow onto moist seed raising mix and cover them finely with mix and keep moist but not waterlogged. Ideal temp is 21 deg C.Germination should occur in approx 7-12 days. Pot them up into larger containers when they have 2 true leaves
