This is a very dark red , almost black pansy which trails. It can be used in hanging baskets or on the edge of a short wall and looks spectacular in groups planted together. It flowers abundantly all summer, and its bright gold eye calls attention to the flowers. The flowers can be picked for fresh posies
Sowing advice
Sow spring and autumn. Sow the seeds in moist seed compost in pots or trays. Sow 2mm deep and cover very lightly with soil. Ideal temp. 22°C. If seeds have not germinated in 2-4 weeks move to 4°C ( fridge) for 6-8 weeks then return to warmth at 10°C. Plant out when large enough.
