Description

 

This scabiosa has lovely mid  blue flowers which the bees and butterflies love.  It makes a good garden plant , flowering non stop over summer, and is also good for cutting, having long stems.

 

Sowing advice

Sow in Spring and summer.  Sow in seed trays or pots .Sow indoors into a moist well-drained seed compost. Cover very thinly as the seeds need light to germinate. Propagate at 18 -23 deg C. Germination takes 5-14 days. Transplant seedlings once large enough at 35-40 cm apart after danger of frost has passed.
