Ranunculus asiaticus ‘Elegance Bianco Striato’ seeds

This ranunculus has lovely full blooms with a huge quantity of petals. The flowers are a pale pink with a  small dark maroon frill around them, and the centre of the opening flower appears to be darker with the unopened maroon tips still curled together.  They have long stems and make an excellent cut flower.

Sowing advice

Sow the seeds on moist seed raising mix, at the end of autumn  or beginning of winter when the temperatures have fallen to about 14 deg C in the middle of the day or lower .  It can go down to lower temps at night which won’t bother them a bit.  Don’t cover them, just press a small shallow hole with finger  into the mix which will stop the seed from floating away when you water it, and put a seed into the divot. Keep the seeds in cool conditions in full sun. Keep them moist but not soggy. They should germinate in about 2-3 weeks.
