These plants embody the essence of summer with their billowing indigo blue flowers with star shaped central rays of white.  The mix colours are blues ranging  from dark violet to lighter shades of  blue , and they all have an attractive sweet scent and flower all summer long .  They are a lovely border plant, and also make an excellent cut flower.

Sowing advice

Sow indoors in spring or outdoors in early summer. Sow in seed trays or pots.
Sow seeds onto seed raising mix, cover lightly with mix. Keep at 13-15 degrees C . Germination takes  approx. 10-21 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots. Pinch out growing points when the plant is 8cm tall to encourage a compact habit. Plant out when the weather warms with 25cm spacing.
