This penstemon is drought hardy and blooms in late spring. It is a compact plant which flowers prolifically with brilliant scarlet tubular flowers, and a group of plants an be an arresting sight. Bees and butterflies are attracted to it, and it is a very easy care small plant. It makes an excellent container plant.
