This plant has attractive scarlet coloured flowers.  It is drought tolerant and can be used in xeriscaping, and erosion control, and also performs well in a pot.  It also makes a good cut flower.

Sowing advice

Sow to moist seed raising mix in pots or trays.  Keep warm and moist for the first 4 weeks.  After that seal the pot in a plastic bag and put into the fridge for 6 weeks.
