Description

This plant produces a very lovely single scented white flower which is large and seems to be made of very soft white crepe paper. The flowers appear in the summer evening, and fade the next day to a soft pink. The plant is not a long lived one , but it will self seed if the position suits it. They like hot dry locations with very well drained soil. They are quite drought resistant once they are established.

Sowing advice

Sow the seeds onto the surface of moist seed raising mix. Don’t cover the seeds as light is required for germination.
For best results sow directly into soil where they are to grow. But they can also be grown in pots or trays. Transplant the seeds when large enough to handle avoid excessive root disturbance. Germinatio will occur in about 14-21 days.
