This is a rarely offered climbing plant to about 3m with slim stems which produces large mauve-pink long petalled flowers. The plant flowers in summer and on into autumn. It has small soft holly like leaves which are finely toothed and have a tendril on the end of them. It is a native of Chile

Sowing advice
Sow the seeds onto the surface of moist seed raising mix, and cover to their own depth with mix Maintain consistent moisture and a temperature of 15–20°C . Germination may take several months. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and grow them on until they are robust enough for outdoor planting. Provide climbing support and space plants 60–90 cm apart.
