This is a tall attractive ornamental grass with an open habit which has very slender arching branches which bear very airy delicate flowers in summer. The stems are a bluish green.  It makes an excellent large specimen container plant .The plant is attractive in all of the seasons and works well in a naturalised setting as well as in a border where its clumps of slightly weeping stems will combine well with any perennial.

Sowing advice

Can be sown at any time.Sow in seed trays or pots or cell packs 1 large seed to a cell. Sow into moist well-drained seed mix, cover very  finely with mix and keep at about 20°C. Bring them out to about 15°C . Transplant when large enough to handle in a small clump into large pots. Grow on at about  15°C .Can also be sown into pots and left outside over winter for spring germination.
