This series has new species crosses among this genus of dense, fine bladed grasses. Colours range from rose to copper and tan with many shades in between. Quite distinct and not found in the usual types which tend to silvery spikes. These grasses can be used for landscaping and also for cutflowers. It makes an excellent container plant in a large container.
Sowing advice
Can be sown at any time. Sow in seed trays or pots or cell packs 1 large seed to a cell.
Sow into moist well-drained seed mix, cover very finely with mix and keep at about 20°C. Germination should occur in about 2-4 weeks, but can be irregular. If it does not, then they can be sealed in a plastic bag to conserve moisture,and put into the fridge for about 4 weeks. Bring them out to about 15°C . Transplant when large enough to handle in a small clump into large pots. Grow on at about 15°C .Can also be sown into pots and left outside over winter for spring germination.
