This is a very fast growing vine to about 5m. It is perennial in warmer northern areas , but probably will not survive the winter in Southern areas where it will be cut back by the frosts, unless its roots are protected. These seeds will produce a variety of trumpet shapes , mostly they will be dark red. They will flower until the first frosts cut them back. If you grow them in colder southern areas, then put the roots in a large pot and cover them for the winter. They do well in hanging baskets .,
Note 5 seeds in a packet
Sowing advice
Sow seeds in spring onto a moist seed raising mix. Cover them thinly with mix and put them in good light. Keep them at between 15 and 20 degrees C. Prick out small seedlings into 3 inch/8cm pots . Grow on before planting into a large container or sheltered spot outdoors, with climbing support. Protect them from freezing in winter.
