This is a compact lupin, which grows to about 45 cm.  It is an excellent plant for the garden flowering over the summer months, and dying down over winter to re-emerge in spring. It makes an excellent cut flower, and flowers in the first year from seed. The flowers come in a wide range including red, orange, yellow, purple and white and some bi-colours as well.

Sowing advice

Sow in spring and autumn. Soak the seed overnight to soften. Plant in pots or trays in moist seed raising mix and cover to their own depth. Keep moist at about 20 degC. Germination should occur in 14-21 days.
