Hesperis ‘Purple’  is  the purple form of sweet rocket.

These plants are biennial, but they will self seed.  In the first year, Hesperis  ‘Purple’ forms a low mound of green leaves , and then in the following spring it produces lovely  upright branching heads of fragrant phlox-like flowers. They make an excellent cut flower , and  are attractive to butterflies and beneficial insects.
