Description

Heliopsis ‘Bleeding Hearts’ thanks to https://www.jelitto.com

Heliopsis ‘Bleeding Hearts’ has flowers which are brilliant fire- red when they first come out. They age to orange- red and then finally  turn to bronze at the end of their life. the  dark red to purple/black stems and leaves,  make it a very attractive bush even when  it is not out in flower.  But you will love the flowers which are offset magically by the dark foliage attracting the eye, and making it a handsome garden plant.  It flowers in its first year from seed, and is a reliable solid performer. To add to its desirability  it makes  an excellent   cut flower.
