Description
This plant with wonderful bright red flowers , is a lovely garden subject which begins its growth in the autumn and will flower during the winter in areas which don’t get too much frost.
It is a small to medium growing plant to about 50cm high and will brighten up the drab late winter flowerbeds. If it likes your spot it will produce small bulbs for you, and create a little colony. It also makes a good cut flower.
It will not grow in areas which have constant temperatures in winter below zero deg centigrade. but will stand light frost quite well.
