Dodecatheon is a small gem of a plant which appeals to all who grow it . This mixture of seeds has plants which produce pretty pink white lilac or red flowers. The flowers look like miniature star showers which are plummeting to earth . The plants grow to about 40cm. They make an unusual and lovely cut flower. The plant will thrive in a partially shaded site in the North and full sun in the South. It likes a moist cool soil.
Sowing advice
Sow the seeds onto moist seed raising mix and press them into the mix., at about 20 dec C. Don’t cover them as they need light to germinate. Keep them moist by covering them with a film of plastic. Once the first seed germinates remove the plastic . They should germinate in 7-14 days .
