This plant has  aromatic minty liquorice scented foliage. Clusters of hooded Lilac Blue  flowers are borne on tall stems, making a very handsome border plant , and a tea made from the leaves is said to soothe stomach-ache. It makes a good cut flower. Bees and butterflies love it. It is an easy care plant to grow and maintain. Moderate self sowing will occur where the plant likes its location.
