This is the white form of the lovely double flowered xeranthemum. It puts on a very showy display of brilliant white flowers on strong, thin stems, and is lovely in the garden . It also makes an excellent cut flower and is great for drying as well
Sowing advice f
Sow indoors approx. 6 weeks before the last frost in pots or trays. Surface sow into cell pots filled with moist well-drained seed compost. Cover very thinly as light assists germination. Keep moist. Propagate 22-24°C. Germination takes 2-3 weeks. Once seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 8cm pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Plant out once all danger of frost is passed after acclimatising.
