This verbena has clusters of purple flowers borne on long graceful stems. It blooms from early summer to the frost in autumn and grows best in full sun or light shade. It looks good in mixed borders and works well with most plantings. It is very attractive to butterflies and bees. It flowers in summer of the first year from seed if started in early spring under cover.It makes a good cut flower, and can be dried for dried floral arrangements.
