Teleopea speciosissima is a large  plant to 3m tall, which lives for a long time. The flowers are usually bright red , but can also be pink or occasionally white. They make extremely good cut flowers, lasting for a long time in a vase. The plant likes partial shade , so dont plant it in full sun or in full shade as it wont flourish. The flowers are a rich source of nectar for birds, and you will see them visiting the bush often when they are flowering.

Note :  approx 10 seeds in packet

 Sowing advice

Plant the seed in pots or trays in a moist , well drained  seed raising or potting mix . Cover the seed with a layer of mix  to their own depth , and keep moist but not waterlogged at about 17-22 deg C.

Germination should occur in 2-3 weeks but can take longer. Pot them up as soon as they are large enough to handle.
