Description
Salvia nutans picture thanks to https://www.jelitto.com
Salvia nutans has large toothed leaves which form clumps. The lovely rare, nodding flower stems arise well above the clumps of leaves, forming an elegant stem and from the ends of the stems the violet blue flowers drop in cascades. This plant likes full sun and a soil which is well drained, like all salvias. It can be used in amongst other bushy plants where it provides drama with its lovely drooping flowers.
