Ranunculus asiaticus ‘Elegance Bianco Sfumato’ seeds

This ranunculus has white flowers with a dark smoky centre and the petals have a pale  pink picotee edge. It is  a very beautiful ranunculus which fits in well with most bouquet colour palettes. The flowers are very full of petals, and have long stems , producing many flowers per plant.

Sowing advice

Sow the seeds on moist seed raising mix, at the end of autumn  or beginning of winter when the temperatures have fallen to about 14 deg C in the middle of the day or lower .  It can go down to lower temps at night which won’t bother them a bit.  Don’t cover them, just press a small shallow hole with finger  into the mix which will stop the seed from floating away when you water it, and put a seed into the divot. Keep the seeds in cool conditions in full sun. Keep them moist but not soggy. They should germinate in about 2-3 weeks.
