Primula japonica ‘Millers Crimson’ seeds

This primula has intense red flowers.  It likes moist conditions and can not tolerate lime in the soil.

Sowing advice

Sow in  summer and autumn. Sow in pots or trays. Sow onto moist seed raising mix. Do not cover as light is needed for germination. Water from the bottom of pots to avoid disturbing the seed. Keep moist but not waterlogged. Ideal temp18- 20 deg C. If germination does not occur within 4 weeks, enclose the tray in a sealed plastic bag and put into the fridge for 4 weeks.  After this remove the plastic and bring out to the warmth. Keep moist.
