Picture thanks to Jelitto Seeds

This lovely old fashioned plant has pretty pink snapdragon shaped flowers on a compact bush with slightly grey green leaves.  It is an excellent cut flower.  It is usually a short lived perennial, but will gently self seed for you if it likes the position you have found for it. Once it has become established it can withstand some drought.  It will bloom for an extended period in cooler temperatures.

Sowing advice

Sow in pots or trays in moist seed raising mix.  Cover lightly with mix and keep at approx 20 Deg C.  Germinationtakes approx 5- 21 days.  If there is no germination after this time cover the pot with a plactic bag and seal , and place in the fridge for  4 weeks.  After this time remove the plastic bag and take out of the fridge  for germination.
