Description
This is a lovely mix of sunset shades of orange, apricot, peach, rose & red. It is a very good cut flower both for fresh and dried work. It is considered by many gardeners to be one of the best annual statices.
Sowing advice
Sow in spring 8 weeks before the last frost . Sow in seed trays or pots , direct seeding is not recommended. Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed raising mix. Cover very lightly with mix as light assists with germination. Ideal temp. 18-21C. Germination takes 7-14 days. Transplant seedlings when true leaves appear, to cell packs and grow on in cooler conditions. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed with 50cm spacing.
