This selection contains a wide range of colours ranging from light to dark-blue, purple, pink and white to cream. The seeds are taken from the top new iris sibirica cultivars
These plants require very low maintenance, they will grow in normal garden soil and will reward with their beautiful clear flowers year after year.
Sowing advice
Nick each seed pod carefully with a sharp implement ( nail scissors work quite well) and soak for 24 hours in water. This will help quicker swelling of the seed ready for germination.
Sow seeds in pots or trays in moist seed raising mix. Cover seeds lightly with mix.
Seeds should be kept warm and moist for 4 weeks at approx 20 deg C.
After this period place the seed pot in a plastic bag and seal it. Place the pot in the fridge for 6 weeks.
Following the time in the fridge, bring the pot out of the fridge and propagate at 5-12 deg C.
