This is a large plant growing to 180 cm with magnificent flower heads in clusters of 18 to 20 blooms. They are golden yellow with deeper gold centres, and they shine beautifully in the breeze creating movement and interest in the garden with its large leaves creating an excellent contrast with the flowers. It makes a very handsome specimen on its own or in backs of beds or borders. The plant likes a sunny position and can tolerate boggy conditions. It is an adapatable plant being equally at home in cottage gardens , wildlife gardens, bog gardens as well as natural fields and plantings.
