This is the purple form of sweet rocket.

These plants are biennial, but will self seed.  In the first year, a low mound of green leaves is formed, and then in the following spring they produce lovely  upright branching heads of fragrant phlox-like flowers. They make an excellent cut flower , and  are attractive to butterflies and beneficial insects.
