Erysimum ‘Devon Blaze’ forms a shrub with thick woody stems . It flowers in very early spring, bearing lovely  large tangerine blooms, and will continue flowering for a very long time over spring and into summer.   Its leaves are spear-shaped and quite leathery often turning to a greyish green. It can get to about 1 metre high and will live for many years .

Sowing advice

Sow late spring and autumn. Sow the seeds on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays.
Cover with a thin layer of soil. Propagate or place somewhere warm, Ideal temp is 20°C. Keep moist but do not waterlog. Germination should  take between  7 to 10 days. Transplant to  8cm pots when large enough to handle, and plant out after all danger of frost has gone.
