Erysimum cheiri ‘Scarlet Bedder’ seeds – (Wallflower)

Description

Erysimum ‘Scarlet Bedder’ is a  neat compact wallflower which has bright , heavily  fragrant cherry red flowers.  They are easy to grow and easy care.  Bees and butterflies love them , and they are a versatile plant performing well in the garden for borders, or in containers  where they do well as they like well drained soils. You can pick the flowers too to make a sweetly scented room.

Sowing advice

Sow late spring and autumn. Sow the seeds on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays.
Cover with a thin layer of soil. Propagate or place somewhere warm, Ideal temp is 20°C. Keep moist but do not waterlog. Germination should  take between  7 to 10 days. Transplant to  8cm pots when large enough to handle, and plant out after all danger of frost has gone.
