This is a small bushy plant to about 40cm which has pink blooms in clusters in mid summer through to autumn. The leaves themselves are very attractive being a lustrous green. It can be pruned to shape it , but even  without  pruning it  will develop into a nice compact bush for you.  It likes a moist  soil and  a sun filtered partly shaded  woodland site. It does not like hot dry conditions. If you live in the north, ensure the  plant is in partial shade in a cool spot and cover the soil with a thick mulch to keep it moist. The blooms make a good cut flower .

Sowing advice

Sow in Spring Summer and Autumn. Sow in pots or trays.  Sow onto a good seed raising mix. Lightly sprinkle with seed raising mix , as they require light for germination. Keep the seed constantly moist (not wet) with temperatures of about 20°C . If the seeds do not germinate after 4 weeks seal the pot in a plastic bag and put into the fridge for 4 weeks.  Take out of the plastic bag and propagate at about 18-20 Deg C
