This new cavolo nero type kale has a blue-green leaf with handsome pink veins. It stands cold winter temperatures well, grows upright, and has an excellent taste. It can be used in stir fries, steamed , and even used in salads, if sliced quite finely.
Sowing advice
Sow in trays or pots in moist seed raising mix in early spring, late spring and early summer , or late summer and early autumn. Cover lightly with mix. Keep at 15-20 deg C. They will germinate in about 10 days. Transplant about 3-4 weeks after sprouting to about 15cm apart
