This very pretty , somewhat short lived, small plant/shrub  has thin  leaves on strong stems.  The flowers are very attractive waxy pink bells which hang from the stems and are a focal point in the garden when in full flower. It doesn’t take much care once established and will grow in shade quite well.

Sowing advice

Seeds can be sown at any time but are best sown in winter or spring . Take care, seeds are tiny! Sow in trays or pots
Press the seeds into the soil lightly. Don’t cover as light is needed for germination. Keep at 20 deg C. If the seeds do not come up within 6 to 12 weeks , seal the damp seed tray in a plastic bag and place in a fridge for about 4 weeks. They may still take very many months to appear, so do not discard the pot or tray.
