Artemisia absinthium is grown chiefly for its silver gray foliage which adds interesting texture to garden plantings . It has a bushy growth habit. It is used for natural landscaping and for xeriscaping and for plantings where low maintenance is required. It is attractive to butterflies and other pollinators. The foliage is highy aromatic when crushed. It is also used as a medicinal plant and tea herb.
