This perennial plant flowers in late spring.  It smothers itself in bright yellow flowers on a low cushion of silvery leaves, which gradually spreads. It looks good on banks, and rock walls  where it will gradually form a bright cascade effect.

It is a great little plant for dry places as it can tolerate drought and poor soil. It makes a good container plant.  To do well the soil needs to be well drained.  Cut it back after flowering to maintain its shape. It flowers the first year from seed, about 3 months from germination.
