These altroemeria seeds  are  a mix of pink and purple flowering plants from the Ligtu hybrids.  It is an outstanding plant for the garden, and grows easily. It is also an excellent cut flower, producing flowers right through into autumn. The alstroemeria seeds are not hard to germinate and produce a lovely  colour range of plants which will do well for you .

 

Sowing advice

Sow in spring and autumn. Sow into pots with about 3 seeds in each.  Cover with moist seed raising mix to about 5mm deep and cover with plastic to conserve moisture. Keep at about 20  deg C for 3 weeks.   After the 3 weeks, put into the fridge  for 3 weeks.  After  this bring seeds out of the fridge to 20 ° C . Remove the plastic once the first seeds germinate. They should germinate in about 2 weeks after removal from the fridge.  If no germination occurs after about 12 weeks repeat the above procedures
