This plant is a beautiful one for use as edging for borders, but also makes a very good container plant. It is a low, compact, clump forming plant which has very showy spikes of 30cm deep blue flowers which are produced all summer long . It is a good cut flower and is attractive to bees and butterflies. It can be divided in spring or autumn. It is happiest in full sun, but will tolerate part shade. It is heat and drought tolerant once established.
