Description
This is one of the best liked and showiest marigolds, with yellow and maroon double flowers which are packed with petals. It is a low-growing productive marigold which starts blooming early in summer right through until the first frost. Thin spent flowers to prolong flowering.
These plants produce root exudates that are the organic alternative to chemical nematicides.
Dye from the petals is a colorfast rust tone.
Sowing advice
Sow seeds in spring and early summer, late summer and autumn in trays or pots.
Sow seeds on top of moist seed raising mix and cover very lightly with soil. Keep moist but not wet at about 20 deg C. germination will occur in 1-2 weeks.
