Omphalodes cappadocica -(Blue-eyed Mary)

A sought after small treasure with bright blue flowers.

Out of stock

Omphalodes cappadocica is one of the spring plants which gardeners seek, because seed is scarce, and because of its lovely bright blue flowers which are produced above a mat shiny dark green leaves. The plant is very well behaved and will expand outwards very slowly to form a small mound. It has been awarded the R.H.S. Award of Garden Merit.

Sowing advice
Seeds can be sown at any time but are best sown in winter or early spring. Cover seeds very thinly with seed raising mix to about the depth of the seed size. If the seeds do not come up within 6 to 12 weeks the damp seed tray can be given cold treatment in a fridge for about four weeks. They may still take a long time to appear, even months, so keep an eye on the tray ensuring it does not dry out .
