This is a very handsome evening primrose whose cup shaped flowers open tangerine and change through rose pink shades as it ages during the day. It makes a great border plant , which is bushy and has strong upstanding flower stems. It can be grown as an annual in colder areas. It should not be grown in soil which is too rich , as it prefers soil which is lean. It can tolerate some drought and likes a sunny position
