Description
This is a hardy plant which has spiky round flowers the size of a ping pong ball. They are a violet colour. The leaves and stems can be silver grey or olive green. This is a very good cut flower , and the colours don’t fade if the flower is dried for floral arrangements.It will tolerate frost once it is fully grown. It makes a very attractive addition to the garden , adding substance with its interesting flowers. Bees and insects are attracted to the flowers
Sowing advice
Can be sown at any time in trays or pots .
Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed raising mix. Cover thinly with soil. Ideal temp 20°C. Keep soil moist but not saturated. Germination occurs in 14 to-21 days.
