Description
This plant is a small low growing, branching plant which has short pointed fleshy leaves and forms a dense shrublet to about 60 cm. It has semi-double yellow flowers , which have a corona of red around the edges, and in spring the plant is usually smothered in these bright two toned flowers, making a great spectacle.
Sowing advice
Use a good quality good draining seed raising mix. On top of this place a layer of coarse river sand, and sow the seeds on top of this. They should fall into the space between the coarse grains and will eventually germinate. Plant in autumn, and keep in a sunny location especially in the winter months. Keep at about 28 deg C and water sparingly as they dont like to be too moist. Plant out when large enough to handle ( about 6-12 months)into larger pots with a potting mix which drains well.
