Description
This plant is a superb cut flower, lasting 3 weeks in a vase.
The mixture comes in shades of bronze, cherry, pink, purple, red, rose and yellow shades. It grows about 1.2 cm tall, and can be approx 30 -40 cm wide.
This high quality celosia was selected specifically for greenhouse and field grown cut flower production, but is great in the garden as well.
This plant blooms 3-4 weeks earlier than other celosias, and produces many stems for cutting. Flowers are ready in about 11-13 weeks.
Sowing advice
Sow in late spring and summer. Sow in trays or pots in moist seed raising mix. Cover seeds with a 1cm layer of soil. Cover the containers with clear plastic to keep the soil mix moist . Ideal temp 23 deg C . Germination takes 1-3 weeks.
When the seedlings germinate, remove the plastic covers and place in a warm spot. Keep the soil moist but not soggy.
Grow on at 19 deg C.
